The Strength of a Warrior

The way of knowledge is path one is forced upon. Even with the desire to learn, we still have to be pushed along the way. On the path of knowledge we are always fighting against something, avoiding something, prepared for something, and this thing is always something unexplainable, larger, or more powerful than us. These unexplainable forces will always come our way.

The world really is full of frightening things and we are defenseless creatures, surrounded by forces that are unexplainable and unbending. The common man, in his ignorance, believes that these forces can be explained or modified. He doesn’t really know how to do this, but hopes that the acts of humanity will explain or modify them sooner or later. The sorcerer, by contrast, does not care to explain or modify them, he learns to use these forces, redirecting and adapting their course. This is his trick.

There is very little mystery to sorcery once you discover its tricks. A sorcerer is only slightly better than the common man. Sorcery does not help one live a better life. In fact, I would say that sorcery overwhelms you, makes a person’s life more complicated and precarious. Opening one’s self to knowledge, the sorcerer becomes more vulnerable than the average man. On one hand, his fellow men hate him, fear him and seek to extinguish his life; and on the other, unexplainable and unbending forces that surround each one of us are, for a sorcerer, an even greater source of danger.

Being stabbed by one of our fellow men really is painful, but nothing comparable to being merely touched by an ally. A sorcerer, exposing himself to knowledge, is at the mercy of these forces and has only one way to find balance: his willpower. Therefore, you must feel and act like a warrior. Only as a warrior can one survive on the path of knowledge. What helps a sorcerer to live a better life is the strength of being a warrior.

I am committed to teaching you to see. Not because I personally want to, but because you were chosen, you were shown to me. In the end, I am led by my personal desire to teach you to feel and act like a warrior. I personally believe that being a warrior is more fitting than anything else. So, I try to show you these forces as a sorcerer perceives them, because only under their appalling impact can a person be reborn into a warrior. To see without first being a warrior would make you weak. This would give you a false sense of humility and then a desire to depart; your body would degenerate because you become indifferent.

It is my personal commitment to make you a warrior, so that you will not fall apart. A warrior should only be prepared to fight, and not to die. The warrior spirit is not given for whims or complaints, or to wins or loses. The spirit of the warrior is given only to fight, and every struggle is a warrior’s last battle on the face of the Earth. Thus, the result will matter very little to him. In his last battle on Earth, a warrior lets his spirit run, free and clear.

And while waging his battle, knowing that his will is impeccable, a warrior laughs greatly. You must understand that a warrior is not a fool. A warrior is an immaculate hunter who hunts for power. He is not drunk or crazy, and has no time or desire to pretend, lie to himself or for false step. The game is very expensive to do so. He is risking his own orderly life, which took so long to adjust and perfect. He will not throw it all away by committing a foolish mistake of calculation, taking one thing for another.

As I told you, a warrior is an impeccable hunter that hunts power. If he succeeds in his hunting, he can become a man of knowledge. Any warrior can become a man of knowledge.
